1. Subscription
Parent Paleontology Society ("PPS", "we", "us") offers monthly and annual subscription plans that renew automatically until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges to your payment method at the then-current rate.
You may cancel at any time from your account settings page. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues through the end of the current paid period. Prices may change with 30 days' notice to the email address on file.
2. Free trial
New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. No payment method is required to begin the trial. If you add a payment method and do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the applicable subscription rate. Each household is eligible for one free trial.
3. Refunds
We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on first-time subscriptions. If you are not satisfied within the first 30 days of your first paid billing period, contact us at hello@parentpaleo.org and we will issue a full refund of that payment. Subsequent renewal charges are not refundable, but you may cancel at any time to prevent future charges.
Refunds for annual plans are prorated for unused months if requested within the first 30 days. After 30 days, annual plans are non-refundable but may be cancelled to prevent renewal.
4. Gift subscriptions
Gift subscriptions are purchased for a fixed period (1, 3, 6, or 12 months) and delivered via a redemption code. Gift purchases are non-refundable once the code has been redeemed. Unredeemed codes may be refunded within 30 days of purchase.
Gift subscriptions do not automatically convert to a paid plan; the recipient may choose to subscribe independently at the end of the gift period.
5. Content licence
Expedition packs and all associated content (worksheets, activities, digital materials) are licensed for personal, non-commercial family use only. Your licence is limited to the number of children covered by your subscription (up to three). You may not resell, redistribute, publicly post, or reproduce pack content in whole or in part outside your household.
All content remains the intellectual property of Parent Paleontology Society. Your licence terminates when your subscription ends or is cancelled.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service in violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Share your account credentials with people outside your household
- Attempt to access, scrape, or download content in bulk or by automated means
- Circumvent any technical measures protecting the content or the service
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of PPS or any third party
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of PPS systems or servers
7. Child profiles
You may create up to three child profiles per subscription. You represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child whose profile you create and that you consent to the collection and use of that profile's limited data (nickname, age range, avatar, and activity completion records) as described in our Privacy Policy. You must not create a profile for a child who is not in your care or for whom you do not have authority to consent.
8. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Access continues through the end of the current paid period. PPS may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any prepaid unused period on a prorated basis.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." PPS does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PPS's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to PPS in the 12 months preceding the claim. PPS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
