Printable Dinosaur Word Search for Kids

Every weekly expedition pack includes a dinosaur word search built around the actual paleontology vocabulary kids will need — fossil terms, era names, dinosaur genera, and the words that show up in real journal articles.

What's inside

Real paleontology vocabulary, not filler

Most kids' word searches use generic dinosaur names and stop there. Ours include the technical vocabulary kids encounter in museum signage and Discovery Channel documentaries — words like vertebra, excavate, and Cretaceous. The point is to seed the vocabulary so the next time they hear it, they recognize it.

Each pack's word search is themed to that week's dinosaur. The Spinosaurus word search emphasizes aquatic terms; the Triceratops word search uses herbivore and plant vocabulary; and so on.

How parents use it

Three good moments

01

Restaurant pre-meal

Pages print on plain letter-size paper. Slip one in the bag with a pencil — no screens needed.

02

Car ride or waiting room

Word search is the rare activity that survives a clipboard and a bumpy road. Forty minutes, easy.

03

Saturday morning warm-up

Most subscribers print the whole Friday pack and let the word search be the on-ramp to the rest.
